Incoming Fax Queue Access to the “Incoming Fax Queue” feature is out of beta testing now and available for everyone. We are beta testing the ability to port over an existing fax number. Documentation Updates Roster: The payment type dropdown in the billing review screen has been improved. It will now default to ‘Cash’ instead of showing up blank. Charts: Access to Web Exercises is now available in the Chart summary for those practices that are subscribed, allowing you to access the patient’s exercises without creating a note. Patient Portal Enhancements Customization Alert! Practices can now determine the length of the invite code dispatched to the patient, with a minimum setting of 9 digits. This allows for a more user-friendly URL for your patients. Patient Self-Registration Boost Patient Engagement: Introduce a direct link on your website enabling patients to self-register for the Genesis Patient Portal. Once registered, a patient account is seamlessly set up in Genesis. However, please note: This is optimized exclusively for new patients. Existing patients with accounts in Genesis trying to re-register will receive an alert prompting them to reach out to your practice. We’re continually striving to offer you the best. New Features: Appointment Waiting List & Patient Responsibility Estimator
At Genesis Chiropractic Software, we are passionate about innovating to provide solutions that streamline your practice. We are thrilled to announce two new features that will elevate how your front office operates. These features, Appointment Waiting List and Patient Responsibility Estimator, are set to roll out over the next month. As such, some users may see the features sooner than others. Appointment Waiting List The first feature is the Appointment Waiting List, a tool designed to take the hassle out of managing patient appointments. It creates a systematic and efficient platform for tracking patients waiting for an appointment or looking for an earlier slot. This feature aims to replace cumbersome Excel spreadsheets traditionally used for this purpose and is set to roll out from May 20th. The Appointment Waiting List is particularly crucial for front office staff, making their job more manageable by automatically prompting the removal of patients from the list once their appointments are scheduled. It will be available on all versions of our software except the Legacy version. Patient Responsibility Estimator Our second innovation is the Patient Responsibility Estimator. This tool uses specific data such as payer/CPT specific expected allowed amounts, patient information like deductible, co-pay, and coinsurance, and existing claims on the account to estimate the amount to be collected from the patient at the time of the visit. The goal here is to improve collections. By giving you a close estimate of what is expected, you can collect now, rather than waiting until the claim processes, or only collecting the co-pay. This preemptive measure helps close the gap on potential losses when trying to collect after the fact. If an overestimation occurs, you can issue a refund or apply it to a later date of service. The Patient Responsibility Estimator is a game-changer for office staff and the practice owner. It eliminates guesswork regarding collections and reduces time spent following up with patients. The result is a practice that potentially loses less money due to uncollected patient responsibilities. This feature is compatible with versions v26/v27 of our software. Although it is available now, we do have some enhancements set to come out with version v27. In Summary These two new features – Appointment Waiting List and Patient Responsibility Estimator – are both demonstrations of our commitment to continually improve and streamline Genesis Chiropractic Software based on your needs. We’re excited to roll out these features over the next month, and while the release might be staggered, rest assured that every user will soon have access to these fantastic new additions. Incoming Fax Queue The Incoming Fax Queue is a revolutionary feature that streamlines the process of incorporating faxed documents into a patient’s records. This feature allows practices to maintain a dedicated fax queue, designed to expedite the task of adding numerous faxed documents directly to a patient’s files. Displayed in the fax queue is a wealth of pertinent information, including the document name, the date and time of faxing, relevant practice information, the source of the document, the date of service, and even the caller ID. This consolidation of details facilitates swift and accurate processing of the faxes. Upon selecting a fax in the queue by clicking the associated checkbox, the patient document will be presented on the right side of the page for easy viewing. This feature fosters efficiency and eliminates the need to toggle between screens or software. An added advantage of the Incoming Fax Queue is the ability to bulk-add multiple faxed documents to a patient’s chart summary. This is particularly beneficial for practices that handle large volumes of patient documentation, reducing manual data entry tasks, and enhancing the overall workflow. Roster Check-in Introducing the Roster Check-in, a transformative feature enhancing the efficiency of patient management within the Document and Bill system. The feature brings the convenience of checking in patients directly from their appointment details on the Roster, simplifying the administrative process. Located on each appointment is a new Check In button, an intuitive tool that empowers Clinicians to swiftly and effortlessly check in patients. With just a single click, clinicians can mark a patient’s arrival, eliminating the need for additional steps or navigation through multiple interfaces. The Roster Check-in functionality streamlines the entire appointment process, improving the workflow and saving invaluable time and effort for all. It blends seamlessly into the existing system, making the process of managing appointments, check-ins, and cancellations an effortless task, all from a unified location. Images Chart Component – Drag and Drop Images Finally, we are introducing the Drag-and-Drop Images feature, a new addition to the Images Chart Component within the patient’s chart summary. This feature enables users to effortlessly incorporate image files directly into the Images Chart Component by simply dragging and dropping them from their computer or device. This feature has been designed to handle multiple image uploads at once, providing flexibility and convenience for users dealing with an array of image files. After the images are dropped into the chart component, a new window will automatically appear on the screen, prompting users to update the following information related to each image: Title Source Image Date Comments This input process ensures that every image uploaded is clearly identified and organized within the system, contributing to more comprehensive and effective patient records. The Drag-and-Drop Images feature also allows for easy editing of the image’s information. By hovering over an image, a pencil icon will appear. Simply click this icon to edit any of the image’s details at any time, offering maximum flexibility and control over your patient image data. Customizable 2nd Appointment Schedule Alert Pop-ups
Introducing the Newest Feature of Genesis Chiropractic Software: Customizable 2nd Appointment Schedule Alert Pop-ups We are excited to announce the release of our latest feature in Genesis Chiropractic Software: customizable alert pop-ups. This new setting allows users to have more control over the alert pop-ups that appear on the schedule page when scheduling a patient for a second appointment. Previously, the pop-up would appear every time a patient was scheduled for a second appointment, regardless of the practitioner or schedule they were booked with. With our new optional setting, users can now choose to schedule the patient with a different practitioner or on a different schedule without the pop-up alert. However, if a second appointment is made on the same schedule, the pop-up alert will still appear. Users also have the option to turn off the pop-up alert altogether, allowing them to schedule patients for multiple appointments without being alerted each time. If you’re interested in changing how your pop-up alerts currently work, simply contact our training team, and they will update the setting for you. This new feature provides greater flexibility and customization options to our software, making it easier for chiropractors to manage their patient schedules and improve their overall workflow.
